
Introduction
In this video for 3ds max, we’ll take a look at some basic tips about modeling a simple cut on a mesh.
What we’ll see
Main idea is to create cuts on a mesh without the need to use complex tools or boolean operators, so we’ll use a simple but effective approach using basic modeling features. We’ll create some planes and we’ll work to attach it and fuse some vertices, then we’ll create the cut look using vertices transformation, tessellate, noise modifiers and Graphite modeling tools to sculpt the surface a little bit.
